‘How to Make It in America’ Premieres Tonight

No plans for Valentine’s night? Well you’re in luck. The new HBO show How to Make It in America premieres at 10 p.m. I got a sneak peek of the first episode last week and I’m obsessed. The writing’s good, but what else would you expect from a show with the same producers as Entourage?

Though they may share producers, the shows are different. Entourage is about four guys finding their way in the craziness of Hollywood. How to Make It in America focuses on long-time friends Ben and Cam as they hustle and break into the New York fashion world. Viewers will really get a feel for the differences in the uptown/midtown/downtown scenes.

The cast is impressive. Just check out the list of stars:

Bryan Greenberg (October Road, Prime)
Victor Rasuk (Lords of Dogtown, Stop-Loss)
Shannyn Sossamon (Moonlight, The Rules of Attraction)
Eddie Kaye Thomas (American Pie series, Til Death)
Lake Bell (It’s Complicated, Pride and Glory)
Kid Cudi (Yes, the rapper. He plays himself too! Okay he’s not. It just feels like he is!)
Luis Guzmán (Fast Food Nation, Luis)

It’s rare to find a cast with actors I’m completely familiar with. Snaps to whoever did the casting.

Remember to tune in to HBO at 10 p.m. This show does not disappoint! After the premiere, come back to this post and report back. I want to know if you like the show as much as I do.

If you like the music in the show, be sure to check out its Facebook page to download the mixtape. And yes, it’s free.
